Key Stage 3 & 4

A case or an outbreak of meningitis brings good citizenship skills to the fore, young people in a community at risk face a considerable challenge. You can download a number of imaginative role-play scenarios set in a community under threat from meningitis. Students may use the activity sheets to identify issues and discuss actions with each other. Most importantly, the activity sheets can be used to help students examine their own role and responsibilities when dealing with life-threatening issues like meningitis.

How to run a role play session

The following curriculum objectives are supported by the activity:
