Citizenship
Key Stage 3 & 4
A case or an outbreak of meningitis brings good citizenship
skills to the fore, young people in a community at risk face a considerable
challenge. You can download a number of imaginative role-play scenarios
set in a community under threat from meningitis. Students may use
the activity sheets to identify issues and discuss actions with
each other. Most importantly, the activity sheets can be used to
help students examine their own role and responsibilities when dealing
with life-threatening issues like meningitis.
